She has a passion to create with her hands - be it painting, doing handicraft, writing poems, baking, and making melodies on the harp, tongue drum, and autoharp. Aaron was a hairstylist before a motorcycle accident left him paralysed from the neck down. Overcome with grief, Aaron spent years trying to come to terms with this new reality without much success. A chance encounter with another tetraplegic introduced him to the therapeutic world of art. Slowly but surely, Aaron discovered his hidden talent for painting and received formal training from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Aaron’s practice in oil is steeped in realism as he draws inspiration from nature. Every stroke deftly captures his subject in precise detail.

She volunteered at Crochet of Love & Project Juntos, making friends with similar interests and has since been learning different stitches.

Zayne, 14, thinks too much for an average teenager – FAR TOO MUCH. He was 9 when he had his first panic attack. He struggled in school, eventually reaching a stage where his thoughts overwhelmed and consumed him. Since then, he stopped going to school, relieving some of his worries. Art helped to take his mind off negative thoughts and the support he received from SAMH allowed his condition to improve.
